In other cases that have reached a phase of more complex physiological dysfunction, the Functional Medicine Doctor becomes a medical detective to find the to find the root causes to address, and designs a personalized plan that usually includes a supplement program combined with new lifestyle choices.

What Conditions Do You Treat?

Do I Need A Doctor’s Referral?

No. Doctors of Chiropractic are primary providers and do not require a referral to book an appointment. 

What Type of  Lab Testing Is Offered?

Dr. Banville is affiliated with several specialty lab companies that can evaluate hormones, metabolism. nutritional deficiencies, GI function, methylation, oxidative stress, and genomics. During your functional medicine initial visit with the Doctor ,you can discuss all the options and make an informed choice that is best for you. 

Do You Take Insurance? 

Our clinic does not bill to insurance for functional medicine services, however most FSA's  and HSA's can be used. Some labs tests  may be partially covered by your insurance and this would be processed through the lab provider or the lab provider may supply a Superbill which you may submit to your insurance for reimbursement or towards your deductible.

Is telehealth available for functional medicine appointments?

Yes. We understand life is busy and if feeling ill driving may be too difficult. If possible Dr. Banville prefers to have the  first visit in person. For lab result review, and follow-up visits telehealth using HIPAA compliant video conferencing, is possible.
